One of the major reasons why Food and Drug Administration exist is that it is the one given the authority by law to regulate various products. One of the products that the Food and Drug Administration regulates is medical devices. Medical device regulation set by the Food and Drug Administration is derived from the provision of the Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations or commonly known as 21CFR. According to the 21 CFR, companies engaged in the manufacture of medical devices must conform to the following requirements:

• Establishment registration,
• Medical Device Listing,
• Premarket Notification 510(k), unless exempt, or Premarket Approval (PMA),
• Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) for clinical studies
• Quality System (QS) regulation,
• Labeling requirements, and
• Medical Device Reporting (MDR)

All of these requirements must be submitted to the Food and Drug Administration before a medical device manufactured by companies is allowed to be introduced and presented into the market.

I always try to stretch my money as far as I can when dealing with my photography hobby, but if it was not for the Tamron 17-50mm lens, I would probably have been broke long ago. Anyone that has spent time in a camera shop will know what I am talking about. Just because photography is my hobby however doesn’t mean I’m satisfied with any old cheap lens that I come across. The Tamron might seem like it is too good to be true when compared to the first party manufacturers, but if you are looking for the catch, you are not going to find it. Some other third party lens manufactures in the past have had products that made people wary of taking the risk, but I have yet to meet anyone that did not like the Tamron. You will obviously find a few complaints here and there from the really fussy folk, but don’t let that deter you from testing this lens for yourself.
